The Sovereignty Checker is a small public tool for estimating the license-layer sovereignty of software dependencies.

It looks for license and project signals that affect whether your right to operate is durable, revocable, or dependent on an outside vendor's future choices.

## Good tools change the conversation

The point is not automation theater. The point is making hidden constraints inspectable so people can argue about the real system instead of guessing around it.

Before: a risk, workflow, or dependency is discussed as a vague feeling. The team knows something is wrong, but the shape of the problem stays hard to inspect.

After: the constraint has a visible surface: a score, map, checklist, model, or artifact that lets people decide what to change next.

## Tool principles

## Future directions

These directions are not presented as finished products. They describe the kind of public artifacts that belong here once they are useful enough to inspect.
