About

Experience shaped by systems that could not simply be replaced.

I did not arrive at technology through a single stack or era. I grew up inside it, programming in BASIC, working through DOS, OS/2, and early Macintosh systems, building computers, and making websites while the web itself was still taking shape.

That long view now informs my work on complex web platforms, accessibility, modernization, and the interfaces people rely on to do their jobs. I am especially drawn to systems that still hold real value, but have become difficult to understand, maintain, or change safely.

RovoMedia is my independent technical practice, based in Denmark and working with clients across Europe and the United States. I help teams make sense of the system they have, clarify the decisions in front of them, and improve what needs to change without discarding what already works.

Relevant background

Experience in systems with real operational weight.

The common thread is long-lived software: platforms with history, interfaces that people depend on, and technical choices where the cost of change has to be understood before anything moves.

My work often sits between product, engineering, accessibility, modernization, and delivery. The useful contribution is making the current system legible enough that a team can decide what to preserve, what to repair, and what to replace.

Start from evidence.

Look at the product, code, workflow, constraints, and failure modes before prescribing the shape of the answer.

Respect what still works.

Modernization is not a reflexive rewrite. Valuable systems deserve a path that keeps useful continuity intact.

Make decisions visible.

Good technical work names the tradeoff, the risk, and the next practical move clearly enough for others to act.

Bring the system and the decision in front of you.

A useful first conversation can start with a difficult interface, an uncertain modernization path, an accessibility concern, or a platform that has become hard to change safely.
